Email Password Self Recovery

In order to use the email password self-recovery feature, you must set up a recovery phone number and/or alternate email address for your account.

 

 

  1. Click on this link to go to the Personal Info page of your Google Account - https://myaccount.google.com/personal-info

  2. In the Contact Info section, select either EMAIL or PHONE.

    • If EMAIL - Enter an email address in the Recovery email section.

 

Which email to use

Choose an email address that:

  • You use regularly
  • Is different from the one you use to sign in to your Google Account
  • PHONE - Click on the pen icon to add/update a phone number.

 

Which number to use

Use a mobile phone that:

  • Gets text messages
  • Belongs only to you
  • You use regularly and keep with you

Recovering your password

  1. Click Forgot password? at the login screen.

 

2. You will be given a chance to try the previously used password. If unsuccessful. Click Try another way to use your recovery phone number or email.
